Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. is Disappointingly Simple - https://games.avclub.com/despite-the-na ... 1844625135
Sam Barsanti wrote: It looks really nice, and there’s a truly impressive amount of Gundam crap in it for you to look at (over 180 playable characters!), but you can essentially get the same experience by looking up pictures of Gundams on the internet.
From what sorry pit did this article emerge? The author spends the whole time whining about the game, then leaves to go look up Gundam porn on the Internet. It's a wonder that any of these games are ever localized given the sorry coverage that they receive here. And this from a supposed fan.

Reposting wikis that also covered Gundam Versus in good detail:

Since I was thinking that I may want to eventually import the Premium Sound Edition, I checked Play-Asia to see if they still had copies available from previous entries to get a sense for its future availability. Funny enough, they've still got Gundam Versus, but Full Boost has completely sold out.

Shame I didn't hear about this until after it'd already sold out. The Gundam fighters and the M2 Shot Triggers may have made it worthwhile to consider a decent PS4 stick. Look! It even works on PS3! So you could dump whatever old PS3 stick you've got and replace it with one of these.

Oh and for those wondering, yes, Maxiboost ON has the same PS3 legacy stick support as Gundam Versus did.

Interesting to see how essential sticks were for 360 / PS3. PS5 is right around the corner, and only now am I considering a PS4 stick. But I wonder if it's worth waiting to see what's in store for next-gen. If PS2 compatibility is coming, then I'll for sure want something that'll work on a PS5.

Interesting note on pad mapping from @wiki: https://w.atwiki.jp/gundamexvsmbon/pages/259.html
Q. What are the recommended settings for pad config?
Federal VS Zeon DX, where A.CS did not exist, the default settings have not changed, and it is difficult to play as it is due to the arrangement.
Each person has a good idea, so let's find one that suits you.

Option 1 (most recommended arrangement. Allocating R1L1 to shooting fighting and arranging as a set (shooting and sub-shooting, fighting and special fighting, boost and special shooting) that do not press simultaneously in combination (In addition, shooting on the right side and fighting on the left side are easy to understand intuitively.)
 □ Special shooting
 △ Command/Communication
 × Jump
 ○ Target switching
 R1 Shooting
 R2 Sub shooting
 R3 EX Burst
 L1 Fighting
 L2 Special fighting
 L3 None
 TP None
