More will be revealed soon. If what they show comes even the least bit close to realizing the potential seen in the concept art above, it will be an instant purchase for me.

Uses the same incredible photogrammetry technology that Ethan Carter did for its environments.

Star Wars Battlefront Made Me Realize I'm A Cynical Prick - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Br3Xm_s1P6Q

Jim Sterling realizes there's something wrong with him. But then he spends nearly the whole time blaming the AAA games industry for his sickness, pointing the finger and saying, "It was them! They made me this way!"

Can anyone else hear Adam, charging God with blame in the garden? "This is your doing, God! The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat."

More of the same garbage. http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/20 ... ttlefront/

Why are these Internet writers all falling over each other to discredit the game? What is their motive? Were these guys involved in any of the doomsday prophecies that were circulating when EA acquired the rights to make Star Wars games? Are they simply determined to force their prophecies to come true, thinking they can alter reality with a touch of the keyboard?

But it's all poisonous, evil thinking. Just look at what he writes.
Erik Kain wrote: I also have to remind everyone that you’d be absolutely bloody crazy to pre-order Star Wars: Battlefront. I say this not just because this is EA we’re talking about (though that’s a real factor)

The "critic" who wants to "remain as objective... as possible" has a "real" problem with it being published by EA.
Erik Kain wrote: preordering is generally anti-consumer
You know what else is anti-consumer? Charging money for the game. It puts up an arbitrary impediment to wanton consumption. Don't worry though, guys. This guardian of the consumer interest will defend us from all these terrible evils being perpetrated out there in the gaming industry today. The great evils that escape our notice, because we're too much like sheep. Imbeciles, the lot of us.

Do their delusions know no limits? Actually they don't, and that's because he has no contact with reality in the realm of his writing. It's an artificially constructed hyperreality, a favorite hiding-place of the anti-Christian intellectual, where he can just make up whatever he wants about the other. Here, ignorance and arrogance are the greatest of virtues because they push the bounds of acceptability in terms of whatever devilish claptrap that happens to strike your fancy. For example, it's much easier to write that "a fool and his money are soon parted" in reference to pre-ordering if 1) you take it for granted that everyone who pre-orders games is a fool and 2) you ignore the fact that pre-ordering games is often free.

It doesn't take a genius to realize what this game isn't going to be. But apparently, you'll need one to see what it will. But if you're short on geniuses, just ask a child. Any one will do.

A major, and I do mean major, criticism of the game invented by all the Internet skeptics buzzing around this game is that EA will chop it up into pieces and sell them piecemeal as DLC. There's even been jokes made that if you want to watch the next Battlefront trailer, it will cost you $5.99. Hundreds of people are laughing and approving of such a bizarre joke.

Now I'm more than a little familiar with videogames today, (hopefully this site should give you some impression of that), but I honestly have no idea where this nonsense is coming from. I've never seen anything like what they are claiming. Nor have I had any experience with content being locked up and held hostage by a publisher. It strikes me as madness to even consider it.

Where is it all coming from? And why are they all united together in agreement? Is it really coming from the publishers, like they claim? Or are they not just working themselves up together into a hateful mob in whatever Internet forum they call home?

If sewage entices you, you can see for yourself here - https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattle ... reat_game/

Even DICE devs have been commenting on the thread, trying to set the record straight, with mixed results. But can you blame them for trying?

I don't care if Star Wars Battlefront is good - http://www.polygon.com/2015/10/12/95095 ... nt-is-good
Ben Kuchera wrote: I'm nearly defenseless
Another intellectual struck down by an industry in its prime. We should expect to see more and more of these confession articles as the state of the art continues to mature. Note also how he excuses himself from his usual judgments, allowing others to criticize the "number of maps and the design of the objectives and really think about whether this is going to be a game that remains fun in the long term". Criticisms which he will immediately ignore, and for good reason.

Once the mask comes off, it's pretty clear that these are not people who hate videogames. They are simply double-minded. And as we all know, "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." (James 1:8)
