As far as modern game mechanics go, I had been playing this game for a while with crossbows and bows in my inventory, but I never saw any arrows dropped. Nobody had any arrows on them. Not even the fallen archers. And so I held onto these weapons, wanting to use them but being unable, so I just held onto them, looking for arrows and bolts all over the place. For some reason, I just thought they were scarce, or had already been used up or something. But then something happened that broke the spell, making me realize that I wasn't playing Baldur's Gate. And then I got this crazy idea. What if I, you know, just equipped a bow and see what happens?
Eureka! I can fire arrows now! I wonder how many others have made that mistake.
