I get that a lot of people find it a bit dry and soulless and when it first came out, I would have agreed, but actually, the cumulative updates over the past year or so have made the game so much more interesting. Initially, units lacked a lot of personality, but little things like how dox and slammers can now walk (& scout) underwater (with the latter able to harass ships with pretty effective torpedoes) and the various ways to attack other planets, from orbit to using nukes or using unit cannons to going all out for a superweapon can actually be satisfying.
The problem though with having a game which has evolved over time is that a lot of people will judge it on grounds which are no longer valid. The negativity in this thread is a pretty good example of that, I think. It’s not as perfect as one might have hoped but Uber have done a ton of work on it post release & I hope people get a chance to get their teeth into this new improved version rather than just criticise the half finished original release from a distance.

So disappointed in the Steam community....
What I dont get is... ALOT people are complaining that they have to pay for this new standalone expansion.... WHY?!
If you already own PA, the price of TITANS is the same cost as a normal DLC. Less then 15 Dollars.
Dont own PA? 40 Dollars is just right for a new game these days. Hell, the price will go down eventually, just as PA did.
Which is pretty f-ng reasonable, given the amount of work they are putting into this game.
The time spent figuring out concepts, working on bugfixes, putting in useful new features and terrain...
The electricity to power all their equipment...
The cost of employing people to work on this content...
And yet a crapton of people want all this hard work for free?
Ha, and you people call UBER greedy... Go look in a mirror and see who is really greedy, then go bury yourself in your backyard.
You people say this should be "DLC"! It technically is, as DLC is an acronym for Downloadable Content. Which, by dictionary definition, means "Content that can be downloaded for a set, non-negotiable price".
Does TITANS fit that description? Yes it does. It has content, and it is downloadable. At a reasonable price to.
This isnt a 'Cash-grab' or a 'Scam'. Its just business. Honest, hard working business.
Why cant people understand that instead of expecting everything for free? -_-

So why is this getting good reviews? Has it actually improved?
The old one is Mixed=68% based on 11,952 reviews. This one, TITANS, is 91% based on 23 reviews! Is it just devs and some super fans giving biased early reviews? Or is there actually a huge improvement?
It's getting good reviews from folks that got it for free.
That's the only reason.
So the people who's opinion isn't being tainted, by them being bitter about the price, are enjoying the game?
Sounds like the game is good then...
These Steam forum maniacs are mouthing off that they've summoned their YouTube gods Jim Sterling, Yahtzee, Angry Joe, Totalbiscuit, etc, to put Uber to death over this expansion! How insane is that?! They've even put up a petition over their delusions!

Barely a day passed since Titans release and instead of approaching developer about this issue, some unsatisfied Early Access buyers are behaving like a mob with "You're either with us, or against us" mentality.
Anyone who doesn't support their case, is either called a troll, fanboy, Uber employee or being paid by them, as we can see even in comments below. They keep spreading misinformation that it's a paid patch even when developers confirmed more then once that balancing and fixes are made for vanilla game as well.
Now they are up voting negative reviews on Steam store page and Steam forum is filling up with malicious threads, where there are another fake claims are made. The list just goes on. After all of that I can't really find any sympathy for these people concern.
