I'm blown away by just how unexpectedly great this game is turning out to be. I'd seen pre-release screenshots on all the news sites, and to me it made the game look like a dull 3D beat 'em up spin-off. An experiment in 3D game development and nothing more. I was even hesitant to pre-order the game when it became available, but I did it anyway because it was a limited edition, and it was a Danganronpa game. I'm glad that I did, since it's turned out to be quite the pleasant surprise.

It's funny because that's how I treated the series to begin with. I'd see screenshots of that bear, Monokuma, on the news sites, and think to myself, "This bear game thing again? Please. This looks ridiculous. Not interested."
